X-box Invades! Harrogate Fights Back!
Several households now have an X-box and children spend more time playing until late hours of the night rather than studying and sleeping. Research suggests that 3 in 5 children spend only 4 hours sleeping each night because of the obession children have in completing games and communicating to friends and oher players.
Harrogate, being one of the few economically advanced towns, is encouraging more youths to spend more time outdoors with friends and studying in areas such as the local libraries, The Stray and Harlow Carr Gardens. This encouragement has been approved by educational services as Harlow Carr Gardens has an educational aspect towards biology and geography, as well as teaching others about envirnmental conservation.
X-box, having been connected to the internet creates an influx of youths contacting others, which can lead to serious incidents, as the internet is well known for masking people's identity. Youths spending long hours on the X-box also become obsessed with the games and can easily lose the ability to distinuish the difference from reality and fantasy.
