Audience Feed back (attempt 2)

After recieving critical feed back from my two initial poster designs, I designed and created a second poster which appealled more towards my audience, recieving a more positive audience feedback.

These were my first two designs:

My third design was more complex to make, as I am not very efficient at using Adobe Photoshop, but this third design recieved a more positive feedback:

This incorporated three images in order to create a sense of community about the paper, using different people of different stereotypes holding the newspaper, endorsing it to the consumer.

Audience Feedback (attempt 1)

Good

  • Good/ interesting idea but lacking a lot of understanding and cohesion
Bad

  • Don't understand it
  • What is it trying to say?
  • Change font to one used in Mast Head.
  • Vertical writing is harder to read and loses point
  • Also only story shown has nothing to do with Harrogate
  • Font doesnt match Mast Head
  • Don't really get it

My poster in the making

After taking several images, I came to the conclusion to use the design where the newspaper as an image was the advert.
Here area few of the different photos I took in order to get the right ideas, several are separate in case photoshopping was needed to edit the poster.

After taking some of these images and working on photshop, I realised that I did not need to add to some of the images of the paper without over crowding the poster with too many images.
So I made two simple pictures and edited them slightly with text. Here are the two finished designs:

These two simple designs convey my message to buy the local paper with the simple text "Your Local Paper" making it personal to the consumer. Of the two designs, I will choose the finalised poster from my audience feedback.

Give examples from newspaper, website or poster to explain "how".

Human beings by nature are social creatures (family groups)

Niche / Mass = dichotomy (two answers)

Local paper is a Niche market, but within the niche element there is a large audience in the local area. This needs to be explained and is one of the easiest things to have examples provided.
